Triethylcitrate is the triethyl ester of citric acid. This citric acid ester reduces the build-up of unpleasant body odour by inhibiting the sweat-producing bacteria enzyme. Its good skin tolerance and its deodorising properties make triethylcitrate well suited for use in deodorants.

The starch obtained from corn kernels is converted into modified starch over several process steps in the presence of phosphoric acid salts. The modified starch is capable of absorbing moisture and sebum, making it a suitable ingredient for solid deodorants.

Coco-caprylate/caprate is a fatty acid ester that is easily absorbed by the skin. It leaves the skin feeling silky soft and dry. Used in deodorants due to its lightweight, emollient properties. It helps create a smooth, silky feel on the skin, enhances spreadability, and contributes to a non-greasy finish. It's often used as a natural alternative to some synthetic emollients like mineral oils or silicones.

Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that can be processed into fine wax beads. On the basis of a vegetable oil, the wax beads can be used as gentle exfoliating particles in cosmetic products.

The zinc salt of ricinoleic acid is able to reduce or mask body odour without affecting the natural skin flora. Zinc ricinoleate is therefore used as an odour-inhibiting ingredient in deodorants.

Fragrance (Parfum) is the collective name for raw materials that are used to perfume cosmetic products. For such products, Weleda only ever uses a mixtures of natural essential oils. Synthetic fragrances are not utilised.

Sage leaves contain sage essential oil, flavonoids and tannins. Sage leaf extracts have skin soothing and astringent properties. Therefore, they are suitable, for example, as a component of products for skin cleansing as well as for oral care products.

Vitamin E is isolated from vegetable oils. It is used as an antioxidant (free radical scavenger).

Sodium Caproyl/Lauroyl Lactylate is a mixture of the sodium salt of the lactic acid esters of both the fatty acids lauric acid and capric acid. The mixture has mild, anti-microbial properties and so is also well suited for use in products such as deodorants.

Limonene is a natural ingredient of various essential oils that are used to improve the odour of cosmetic products.
